Last night, Amani ya Juu participated at American University’s School of International Service’s Second Annual African Ambassadorial Dinner and Discussion. The Africa Initiative student group hosted the dinner and moderated talks by ambassadors from several African countries. Discussion topics included political, economic, social, and educational development and the need for partnerships across boarders. Professor Dylan Craig also presented a brief talk on the topic “What is Africa?” where he discussed the need for an informed view of Africa and for a paradigm shift in western views of what development in Africa means.
